I am a Career Counsellor with over 35 years of experience in assisting job-seekers, including Internationally Trained Professionals to get stable, well-paid employment in line with their credentials and career goals.

 

As a Certified Career and Employment Information Specialist with the municipal government I have become a subject matter expert in creating resumes that pass through the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) frequently used by government agencies, large corporations, educational institutions and non-profits. In fact, many of my clients, once hired by municipal, provincial and federal government, continue to use and recommend my services to staff to support their career advancement within the organization.

 

For the last 10 years I have been successfully assisting newcomers including refugee claimants to overcome barriers that may impede their job search efforts and I am widely recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Credential Assessments, Bridging Programs, Licensing into Regulated Professions and much more.

I have been working as a Consultant to provide customized programming and advice to Municipal and Private Shelter Providers, Settlement Agencies, Churches serving newcomers and the 519 Community Centre, among others.
